Out-trips are a part of the camp program in which any camper may participate, unless we have been advised of medical or other restrictions. Campers who may be interested in going on an extended trip can register ahead or upon arrival. We suggest you review the trip packing list for an idea of what should be brought to camp.

Depending on the nature and destination of the trip, there may be a charge of $75-$100 to cover the cost of transportation, and provincial or federal park fees.

Overnights

Wilvaken is very fortunate to have an island and wilderness property immediately across the lake. Campers love going to the island or the main land to camp overnight.

Weather permitting, an overnight is done with each cabin group in every two week session, so all campers should come equipped with a sleeping bag!

What a great experience to cook a meal over the campfire, and to look up at the night sky to watch the stars!
